It was fantastic to welcome Sowerby Music, Music for Life into school on Tuesday afternoon. They wowed
the whole school with a performance of their wonderful melodic and calm singing and then led a very
successful workshop with our Class 1 children. The children really enjoyed performing the songs they had
practised all afternoon to parents and families at the end of the day. We are so lucky to have such
enthusiastic musicians at Dishforth. Mrs Cawood has also been doing a fantastic job leading our brand new
recorder group. I am hoping that you will get the chance to hear them as part of our Harvest Festival
Assembly on the last day of the half term at the village hall.
