Our main topic this term is Riotous Royalty this will include history about The Tudor Dynasty. Other curriculum areas such as art and design and DT will also be linked to our topic.
Science sessions will be delivered by Mrs Blyton on a Monday afternoon.
Music will continue to be taught on Monday afternoons by a visiting music specialist. French sessions will be on Thursday afternoons and the children will study topics entitled: Au marché and A la mode. During RE lessons, we will look at how Christians believe the world was created.
During numeracy sessions, children will explore place value All sessions will develop mental maths skills and there will continue to be a special focus on times tables and rapid recall.
We will begin our literacy work by studying The Thief, the Fool and the Big Fat King by Terry Deary. Cross-curricular work - particularly art - will be linked to the story, and the learning sequences will give opportunities to practise a variety of drama techniques and produce different genres of writing.
