Welcome back to the Summer term! We’ve had a super week setting back into school after the Easter break. The banks, pots at the front of school and carpark beds are busting with the last of the Spring bulbs and are a real credit to the teams that planted them.

As gardening season is upon us now we start to think about our raised beds at the back of the EYFS classroom that are allocated one to each class. If you have any spare plants, seedlings, compost or seeds then we would as always, be very glad of any donations. Thirsk Rotary Club are coming back to school this term to help our Eco Council further develop our school, so watch this space for further opportunities to volunteer and get involved.

I wanted to say a big thank you to the parents and grandparents that have  already volunteered to become Reading Buddies on a Friday morning, supporting some of our children with additional reading practice. If you are interested then please just let us now – the more the merrier! Mrs Chaplin is holding a meeting first thing next Friday morning (24th) for our volunteers. I will send out further details of this by email next week. Lastly, please see the links below for our new term class newsletters.
