Headteacher’s Message
This week Class 1 have been on a very successful trip to Ripon Cathedral leaning about religious signs and symbols and investigating plants to link with their work in Science. They all had a fabulous time and really impressed all the volunteers and helpers at the cathedral with their lovely behaviour and enthusiasm. Also this week PCSO Powell visited the KS2 children for an assembly around Online Safety and Year 1s all completed their phonics checks in school. All of our Year 4s have also now completed their Multiplication Checks. It has been fantastic to see all the hard work and perseverance that all of the children have put into their assessments. I am so proud of each and every one of them. Other news in school is that Mrs Pilmoor, our teaching assistant who works in class 1 and also over lunchtimes, is leaving us at the end of next week. Her last day with the children will be Thursday 19th June. We are delighted for her that she is moving to a permanent full time role at another school but we shall miss her very much. She has been a really valuable member of our staff team and is well-loved by children and staff alike. I am sure that you will join with me in wishing her well in her new job, her new school are very lucky to have her.
