What a fantastic week we have had in school with World Book Day on Thursday. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed dressing up in pyjamas and having a day based around reading and books. Mrs Chaplin, our Literacy Leader ledan inspiring assembly all about breaking down barriers to reading, we enjoyed our special Harry Potter themed lunch and it was lovely to welcome parents and carers into school to share stories with the children. Thank youto everyone who came into school to join us. A big thank you should also go to everyone in the Class 2 teamwho designed such fantastic posters, told every class about the day and organised things behind the scenes –you did a brilliant job.
Now the weather has started to become more spring-like we would like to let the children play on the schoolfield on dry days, starting on Monday. It is still a little muddy but it is such a fantastic space for the children toenjoy, it seems a shame to prevent them from playing due to a little mud! We do however appreciate thatmuddy shoes might be a challenge, so if you would like to provide your child with a old pair of trainers or shoesin a plastic bag to wear on the field, we will make sure that they change into them before they go outside. Theycan bring them into school on Monday and then keep them in school. This week sees the latest publication of our school Blog written by Blog Club, run at lunchtimes by Mr Duffy. You can find it on our school website under the ‘Children’ tab or by following this link Our Blog Dishforth Churchof England Primary School.
