As part of our extra-curricular club offer, Mr Duffy has been working with some children from KS2 at lunchtimes to start a school blog. They are starting by interviewing the adults in school so that you can get to know them a bit better. I had the pleasure of being interviewed by them last week and you can see their finished blog on our school website Our Blog < Dishforth Church of England Primary School or by looking under the ‘Children’ tab. Next Friday is Valentine’s Day and we are having one of our special lunches in school to celebrate. The menu is on page 3 of this newsletter. Even if your child does not usually have a school dinner, they are welcome to on that day. All they have to do is tell their teacher that morning. Unless your child is entitled to free school meals then the cost will be £3.28 per meal.
I also wanted to give a quick reminder that children should not be on site before 8.40am unless they are in breakfast club. There have recently been a lot of KS2 children arriving very early and also unaccompanied by adults. If you walk your KS2 child to school please stay with them until the classroom doors open. And finally, some lovely news. As some of you may already know, Miss Ungerechts has given birth to a beautiful baby boy. Mum and baby are both doing really well. We are all absolutely delighted and I am sure that you will all join with me in wishing her and her family very many congratulations!
