Headteacher’s Message
Welcome back to a new half term! This week saw our first session of ‘Tiddlers’, our new pre-school ‘Stay and
Play’ group on Tuesday afternoons 2-3pm. We were delighted to welcome everyone and Mrs Hainsworth really
enjoyed getting to know some new and some familiar faces. It was a lovely afternoon, so if you know anyone
with a preschool child please encourage them to come along, we can promise a warm welcome!
Some of you may have noticed on our return to school that the roof at the front of school is looking very smart.
You may also have noticed that our paths have been cleaned and the guttering fixed. I would like to say a huge
thank you on behalf of the whole school community to one of our parents, Samuel Booth of ‘Just Roof Repairs
Ltd’. After I initially approached him for advice about the tired state of the roof and guttering, he offered to
come in and do the work for us as a favour. He was also keen to clean our slippery paths and even cleared all
the balls (of which there were more than 50!) off the school roof. Within the context of a very challenging school
budget his kindness and generosity will have an incredible impact. It will mean that the money that would have
had to spend on roof maintenance can now be used elsewhere. Thank you Mr Booth.
Lastly, just a quick reminder to check your emails about World Book Day on Thursday 6th March.
