Headteacher’s Message
It has been a big week this week for our wonderful Year 6s, who completed their SATs with
determination, resilience and a huge effort. As I said last week, we are incredibly proud of them and it
was fantastic to see them let their hair down and let off some steam with Mr Thomson and Mr Duffy and
a huge water fight this morning. A big thank you needs to go to the Year 5 team made up of Mrs
Tennant, Mrs Burgess, Mrs McKelvey and the Year 5 children for adapting so well to working in the
‘Goldfish bowl’ spare classroom this week and for letting the Year 6s have some time to themselves and
focus. It is much appreciated.
We have been lucky enough to show several families around recently looking for new schools for their
children. As we currently have spaces in every year group we are able to welcome new families for a
September start. If you know of any families who might be looking and who might like to have a look
around, please encourage them to get in touch. Our doors are always open.
Lastly, the Summer term is always a busy time and there are lots of events coming up. Please find a list
of key dates on the last page of this newsletter to help you plan ahead. This will be regularly updated and
added to the newsletter each week from now until the end of term
